I have the honour to inform you that I was yesterday waited upon by a large number of Chinese merchants and others for the purpose of presenting me with an address from the Chinese community of Hong-Kong. I attach, for your information, a copy of an account of the proceedings which appeared in yesterday's issue of the "China Mail".
